Coconut varieties

Chowghat Orange Dwarf (COD)
It is an early flowering cultivar that takes about 3-4 years for the initial flowering. The average annual yield is 63 nuts/palm/year. It is best suited for tender nut water.
Chowghat Green Dwarf (CGD):
The leaf petioles, leaves and nuts are dark green. The nuts have the characteristic ‘beak’ when fully mature. Root wilts disease tolerant variety.
West Cost Tall (WCT)
They grow to a height of 15 to 18m. They produce copra of good quantity with fairly high oil content. It takes around 5-7 years for the first bearing after planting
